i usually have the habit of having my cards in my hands whenever i feel like it,say in public i usually have my cards when i sit around benches (not to show off) but i just have the habit of it and i never leave home without atleast a deck of cards.wonder what other people might think when you fiddle with your cards in public?
is it usually negative?or positive?hmmm i dont know, have your say....

Re: perspectives
I realise these days when people see me with cards in public, they always hold still for a while.. and eventually have the urge to ask "magic kah?"
In that case, it's positive.
I used to think that people Would think we are into gambling when they see us with playing cards, but I was wrong. The only time it ever happened to me was when an immigration officer yelled "eh bejudi kau wanggg??" in front of me, in front of a long que at the post office. That's one extreme case that actually occurred.
With that said, there's always a conservative view about people with playing cards.
All in all, with the rising popularity of the art, I believe most laypeople nowadays associate playing cards with magic, which is good, so that we, at least, do not look weird in the eyes of many.
My two dollars.

Re: perspectives
true but there are certain places people will not get out of that gambling thought box, such as school, and in work place maybe?and i agree the fact that magic as well as cardistry is gaining its reputation in Brunei, applause to the local magic stores for that

Re: perspectives
Nice point regarding the certain places. I remembered when I was in form 6, my friend's playing cards ended up in the Student Affairs office.. when a teacher saw him with a pack of playing cards. The teacher was an old lady.. that was, I think, the reason why.
I doubt teachers of 'our generation' would mind. I used to have a lecturer who even brought playing cards with him all the time.
P.S: Hahaha.. my DP survived past the last Ramadhan.. ok ok I'll change it this year :p

I forgot to mention that aged people have the tendency to believe that you are a friend of the devil after seeing you do a French drop.
Re: perspectives
nowdays i can see changes in the way ppl see a guy with cards. kalau dulu memang bnar ,slalu org pikir ngeative tu,but now reduce sudah but yet ada some ppl see it negative. (setan, judi ,syirik, etc)
